We are currently seeking Interns for our Summer Internship Program which will run from the beginning of June through the end of July.Trustmark is currently seeking a Marketing intern for our 2024 Summer Internship Program which will run from June 3rd to August 9th. We are looking for someone who is interested in joining the Voluntary Benefits Marketing Team to assist with the execution of key marketing activities that drive brand awareness, support our sales cycles, engage our broker community, boost enrollment campaign participation, and maintain customer loyalty. This internship offers hands-on experience executing marketing strategies and campaigns across a variety of online and traditional marketing channels. The ideal intern should possess strong initiative, be detail oriented and demonstrate excellent written communication skills. This position is ideal for a college student interested in pursuing a career in marketing.As a marketing intern, you will work under the supervision of a marketing manager. You will learn how to create and execute marketing deliverables that align to campaigns designed to support the achievement of Trustmark’s marketing strategy and business goals. Marketing interns may work on the Broker Marketing team on demand creation activities supporting the achievement of our sales goals or on the Consumer Marketing team creating integrated campaigns that support benefits enrollment participation. Success in this role will be demonstrated by delivering high-quality and timely marketing deliverable under minimal supervision, and helping the marketing department meet its objectives.Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Assist in the creation of engaging content for social media posts, flyers, emails, PowerPoint presentations and other marketing materials.
Campaign Support: Aid in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including idea generation, asset creation and tracking of results
Email Marketing: Assist in the crafting of emails to various audiences that may include Trustmark employees, sales organization, brokers, or customers.
Analytics and Reporting: Provide support in the collection of data and the analysis of various of tactic and campaign results
Event Coordination: Provide support organizing and promoting various events using a variety of marketing tactics designed to increase awareness and participation
Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as updating and organizing files, maintaining databases and coordinating meetings.
Marketing interns are expected to attend and participate in a variety of team meetings including the mid-year marketing review meeting which is held in July.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or related
Completed first or freshman year of degreed program
GPA of at least 3.0
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with social median platforms and digital marketing concepts
Detail-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Able to maintain flexible work schedule in a hybrid model, working 3 days per week in Trustmark’s Lake Forest office and 2 days per week offsite.
