Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Machinery Manufacturing industry, located in HOMEWOOD, Illinois. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll be a crucial part of our team, ensuring the smooth flow of financial operations, from processing supplier invoices to managing customer accounts. This role will be fulfilled remotely.Responsibilities: Accurately process supplier invoices into the ERP system Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in purchase order variances Regularly communicate with suppliers in regards to invoices, statements, and payments Provide necessary assistance with our automated document management system Undertake special projects as required Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry tasks Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action where required Ensure excellent typing skills are used to maintain efficiency Maintain a strong attention to detail in all areas of work Requirements Possess a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role in the manufacturing industry. Exceptional data entry skills with an attention to detail. Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office Suite. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize work under tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability.
