This COTA would be working at two schools (one is elementary/intermediate and one is junior high). There are other OTs and COTAs in the district available for support.The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. As a COTA with AnthroMed Education, you will collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists, educators, and families to provide high-quality occupational therapy services.Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for students.
Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation strategies.
Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings within the school environment.
Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and any required reports in compliance with district and state guidelines.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational goals.
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed.
Adapt activities and materials to accommodate students' unique needs.
Qualifications:
Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in the state of Illinois.
Previous experience working with children or in a school-based setting is preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Passion for working with diverse student populations.
