Associate’s degree, Registered Nurse in Illinois, AND must have completed an approved IDPH Train the Trainer, Alzheimer AND Manual Skills Evaluator Course.
Instructors need to be approved by the IDPH prior to teaching.
Valid CPR card.
Ability to lift, push or carry 50 pounds or over.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Desired Qualification(s)
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
One (1) year experience teaching in an accredited nurse’s or nurse assisting training program.
Demonstrated professional learning or certification in evidence-based student-focused pedagogical teaching and assessment practice such as ACUE , workshops and data use
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively communicating with a diverse student body.
