Description Are you currently looking for a new position? A company in the Manufacturing industry has partnered with Robert Half to find an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. The Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Manufacturing industry. Located in Granite City, Illinois, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary position. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.Major responsibilities
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Help with internal and external audits as required
Accomplish full-cycle A/P
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed Requirements - Excellent attention to detail
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Data entry experience
Knowledge of SAP
Numeric data entry experience
Encoding check processing experience
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
