Description Do you want to have broad business engagement and impact? Robert Half's new Controller position might be right for you! To thrive in this position, you will need to be able to manage the process to ensure that models are correct and are fully accrued each month, verify and hold the operations team accountable to ensure end to end incentive processing, payments, accounting and related financial controls are operating effectively. Based in Godfrey, Illinois, this Controller position will be a long-term contract / temporary engagement. You'll thrive in this position if you're looking for work in a very dynamic and high profile area with significant visibility at executive management level.How you will make an impact

Acquire a thorough understanding of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners

Engage with various business partners for various program controllership and FP& A activities like maintaining accuracy of accrual models, appropriate accounting, and participating in true-up activities. Also answer queries from business, area and subsidiary controllers

Assemble evidence and qualitative discussion of monthly financial results across global programs to support SOX controls

Become familiar with key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners

Ensure timely cash flow forecasts in collaboration with the Treasury

Ongoing monitoring of actual spend against budget, as well as leading actions needed for any expected shortfalls

Analyze and observe controls to ensure they are effectively designed and operating in partnership with compliance

Direct budgeting, reporting, and forecasting processes and tools for all accountable programs Requirements - Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

Proven knowledge of Cash Flow Forecasts

General familiarity with Perform Month-end

Quality experience with cash flow management

Practical knowledge of account reconciliation

Account analysis experience

Accrued Liabilities experience

Cash reconciliations experience

Experience with Cash Flow Analysis

Well-founded grasp of fund accounting

Wide ranging experience with non-profit fund accounting

Command of Accrued Expenses

Exquisite understanding in office and accounting computer systems

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field

CPA and/or CMA preferred

Ability to manage, lead change and build process improvements

Proven communication and negotiation skills, ability to establish trusted advisor/consultant relationships, and capability to influence Executives and Business Decision Makers

Knowledge of ERP system preferred

Proven ability to provide leadership across finance team by engaging with different groups around the world via virtual communication

3+ years professional accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance
