OSM Worldwide is currently hiring a Linux System Administratorthat will play an instrumental role on the Infrastructure team in continuing to build out the company's system management. A successful candidate will participate in the design of automated, scalable, and rapidly deployable solutions to systems infrastructure and server configuration. Our Infrastructure team has been critical in the company’s success and is a key department in ensuring we have the right size IT infrastructure to support the company's growth. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit that’s not afraid to challenge the norm. What Our Linux System Administrator Will Do:
Provide advanced system administration, operational support, and problem resolution for a virtualized Red Hat Linux computing environment.
Perform Red Hat Linux administration including changes, deletes, disk space management, application installation and support.
Run proof of concept projects on early-stage infrastructure implementations to validate the feasibility of an approach.
Support AWS Linux EC2 instances and other areas of the AWS infrastructure as needed.
Support VMware environment including changes, adding/removing systems, and disk space management.
Forecast system demands and recommend upgrades, expansions and reconfigurations.
Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
Travel to remote sites within the US as needed (up to 10%)
What Experience You Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
At least 3 years of Red Hat/Centos administration experience.
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
Working knowledge of VMWare
Extensive experience with scripting and automation tools.
Understanding of MariaDB/Linux clustering a plus.
