Job Title: Wastewater EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Wastewater Engineer to join our team. This role involves performing design calculations, creating specifications, developing models, and estimating costs for municipal water and wastewater systems. You will conduct water and sewer hydraulic modeling, master planning, and design municipal water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and storm sewers. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing and designing pump and lift stations, as well as overseeing construction administration and periodic inspections.Responsibilities

Develop design calculations, specifications, models, cost estimates, and project schedules for municipal water and wastewater systems.

Conduct water and sewer hydraulic modeling and master planning.

Design municipal water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and storm sewers, including pipelines, pumping stations, meters, and structures.

Perform analysis and design for pump and lift stations.

Oversee construction administration and periodic inspections during the construction of water and wastewater facilities.

Plan, design, and construct public water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution systems.

Manage municipal wastewater collection systems and pump stations.

Design wastewater treatment systems, including biological nutrient removal processes and sludge handling.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of experience as a wastewater engineer.

Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license within a year.

Experience in construction observation and supervision/management of field personnel.

Knowledge of environmental permitting, funding, and regulatory requirements.

Proficiency in conducting design specifications for various aspects of water treatment plans and their equipment.

Strong communication skills and organizational abilities.

Previous Experience in master planning, utility infrastructure rehabilitation, public water supply, and wastewater treatment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with AutoCAD for creating construction drawings and piping systems.

Familiarity with quality control and quality assurance practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience with water resources and wastewater treatment systems.

Knowledge of lift and pump stations.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based 100% in the office, with occasional site visits required for construction administration and quality assurance/quality control work. The team consists of approximately 4 project managers, 13 project and staff engineers, and 4-5 CAD technician support personnel. Each team operates in a 'triangle' structure, typically comprising 1 project manager and 1-3 project/staff engineers.
