Supply Chain Analyst

Description We are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This role involves strategically managing the procurement process, managing purchase orders, analyzing procurement trends, and coordinating with various teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and focuses on skills such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Management System, Customer Service, Forecasting, Logistics, and Manufacturing.Responsibilities: Oversee the purchase of products and manage the purchase order process through placing orders, reviewing orders, and updating relevant files. Maintain a global procurement/inventory file per item, coordinating with Sales team and senior management on inventory allocation. Produce purchase orders for replenishment of supplies in various warehouses. Analyze procurement trends and forecasts to determine necessary orders and deliveries to maintain adequate inventory levels. Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to understand customer requirements and update the planning system accordingly. Regularly review impending stock outages and open order reports to ensure timely product arrival. Manage open purchase order reports for all vendors to expedite orders and eliminate backorders. Perform root cause analysis on late shipments and take necessary measures to prevent future delays. Manage part number item maintenance, setup, and price updates. Communicate requirements to vendors via sales orders and purchase orders. Assist with managing the international drop ship process as needed. Collaborate with various teams to locate products per specifications provided. Prepare daily count sheets for Warehouse Associates to track counted items. Communicate with transport services on inbound containers and inform the Sales team of inbound freight. Requirements Proficiency in 3M, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and JDA Experience with Management Systems Strong Customer Service skills Proven abilities in Forecasting Knowledge of Logistics processes Familiarity with Manufacturing operations Ability to communicate effectively and professionally Strong problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to interpret and analyze data, and make business recommendations.
