Material Handler 2 (Temp -to- Perm) / Days & Nights

Remove folded signatures from web press and place signatures on pallet or skid for removal to warehouse or binding areas. Adjust stacking mechanism on press according to paper dimensionsLoads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, carts, and traysConveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, or other devices Counts, weighs, and records the number of units of materials moved or handled on the daily production sheetAttaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containersRemoves cores from matrix and roll stockStacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding machine and clincherUses automated equipment and/or operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and productsPerforms general cleaning of the manufacturing floor, keeps manufacturing area clear of obstructions, etcRecycle/process waste into various containers to maximize the waste streamAssist Press Crew with make-ready of equipment such as retrieving plates, hanging plates, recycling/storing platesMay perform in-process quality checks of printed materials looking for blemishes, scratches or other print defectsAssists in inventory control of raw materials finished goods and dies.Assist Roll tender with: plate and blanket installations; gluer set up and tear down; press washup/ink changes; press lubrication; web upsMaintain general appearance of surrounding press, which includes picking up paper and waste, wiping spills, and cleaning machine according to 5S standards.Performs limited compensation procedures, cut-off, and side guide. Set up and operate sheeter.Set up and adjust stackers to fit the format.Other job duties as assigned We have two shift available: Days (7AM-7PM) and Nights (7PM-7AM)You will be required to go through a staffing agency for the first 60-90 days prior to being considered for a permanent positionPay Disclosure Statement:  The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $18.35 per hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
