You will be part of the Discovery & Innovation team that identifies and develops new and unique chemistry solutions to the current and emerging materials needs in the areas of data storage and communication, advanced energy storage, automotive and stationary refrigeration, personal care, building and construction.Key Responsibilities Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

Work in a team of synthetic chemists to generate novel molecules and/or compositions for new applications.

Closely collaborate with the Physical Properties, Modeling and Applications teams to characterize new molecule design criteria, properties and evaluate application performance

Contribute to scale-up of novel molecules for customer sampling, properties and applications testing

Effectively document and communicate results and project progress to technical and non-technical audiences.

Follow all related safety and environmental rules and regulations

PhD in Chemistry

WE VALUE

Experience in the design and synthesis of small organofluorine molecules

1+ year of Postgraduate or industrial hands-on experience in relevant field

Fluorine and industrial chemistry expertise

Demonstrated contributions to the invention and development of novel molecules in the specialty chemicals area

Expertise in experimental and theoretical concepts of synthetic chemistry

Technical curiosity and passion for R&D

Desire and abilities to identify, develop, and improve new technical concepts and products

External orientation and desire to accurately understand technology trends, customer unmet needs, and working with external partners

Experience in a fast-paced environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal

Reliable and trustworthy with the highest ethical standards and integrity
