Description:1) Reviews Contract Documents including but not limited to Drawings, Specifications, Scopes of Work and others as may be applicable to gain understanding of all requirements to be accounted for within the internal budget. 2) Attends pre-bid site visits as applicable to assess and take account of existing conditions that represent potential risk factors or potential scope gaps in budget.3) Performs quantity take-offs as required for all technical disciplines related to project budget.4) Work closely with other proposal team members including but not limited to Technical Writer, Engineer, Project Manager, VPs, Directors, Business Development, Procurement, Finance, HR and others regarding technical material and budget items.5) Works in Preconstruction Department to solicit bids and quotations as well as maintains direct communication with subcontractors and vendors as required. 6) Prepares subcontractor and vendor bid packages for distribution as necessary.7) Reviews subcontractor proposals against RFP requirements including but not limited to Conceptual Designs, Shop Drawings, Product Data, Design Calculations, administrative and others to ensure compliance with Specifications, SoW and technical requirements.Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field (not required) Federal Background 5+ years of estimating experience.Ability to scope out the project in real time. Ability to maintain budgets.Ability to walk a job site, understand cost factors.
