Together, we’re working at the pace of change to improve patient lives with diagnostic tools that address the world’s biggest health challenges.The Senior Finance Business Partner for Leica Biosystems is responsible to direct their efforts towards supporting one or more Global Functional Leaders as a high-impact Finance Business Partner, reporting directly to the Global Finance Operations Director. In this role, they will assist the Finance Director in forecasting, budgeting, operating expense management, and reporting alongside process improvements. This position will also support the preparation of the annual operating budget and strategic planning.Operating in a matrix environment, you will provide timely analysis and insight to better manage operating expenses with budget owners.The position will work closely with the Finance Peers, L1 leaders & stakeholders within the Mammotome business unit and Business Development area.This position is part of Mammotome business unit and Business Development department and will be hybrid. It is very much a “hands on” role best filled by a seasoned finance professional who can synthesize a broad base of prior experience to make meaningful impacts across the business. The ideal candidate will have had prior experience supporting R&D/Operations, Marketing, Strategic Planning process, and working within a Business Unit partnership environment.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Support the overall monthly operating expense forecast and daily management for R&D, Marketing and Business Development departments

Support the Business Development leader and the Global Finance Operations Director developing business cases supporting strategic investments and provide financial oversight of the portfolio of ongoing projects and investments

Submit the financial month-end and forecast in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with Danaher financial procedures

Responsible for month end reporting - including but not limited to monthly statistics, headcount tracking, accrual management, preparation and distribution of monthly reporting to senior leadership, including KPIs

Reviews variance analysis related to month-end close and identify the root cause(s)

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field with 5+ years experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years experience OR Doctoral degree with 0+ years experience

Progressive experience in Finance/Accounting with FP&A

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting

Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and a command of the details

Strong time management skills: able to consistently meet corporate-mandated financial timelines while balancing deliverables related to key business partnering initiatives
