We do a very wide range of work, but I’m primarily looking for people who can do or are willing to learn how to do miscellaneous home repairs. We do full home remodels, roofs, plumbing, hvac, landscaping, moving/hauling, etc. We service all of Illinois, but focus on work in Decatur, and areas within 50 miles of us. Springfield & Champaign are pretty big ticket cities for us.
What we’re looking for-
We’re looking for a general laborer. Experience in any field is great, but not required. We’re willing to train you in any field. My only expectation is for you to have reliable transportation, be on time, treat everyone with respect, and put forth your best effort. Having a license in any field would be great as well. We’d also be interested in working with other small businesses who need more volume, or need extra help themselves.
This is not a full time or even a regular part time job. We use a scheduling app where you block off any/all days you want off, or aren’t available. If we need you, and you don’t have that day blocked off, we put you on the schedule. There you’ll see all the information you’ll need for the job, as well as payment info. Generally, someone else will also be on sight working as well. We don’t schedule you less than 24hrs in advance. On the rare occasion we need last minute help, we will reach out to you first and make sure it works for you. There is an opportunity to work for us full/part time on salary, however we wouldn’t do this, until you’ve proven yourself by meeting/exceeding our goals.
Payment-
You’ll be considered an independent contractor so you’ll be paid 1099, and responsible for your own taxes. That would leave you responsible for any accidents or damages you cause, which helps us insure that things are done correctly and with due diligence. Up front, we will discuss what you want to make by the hour, and a minimum price for a day of work. If we can see that you’re putting forth your best effort, and/or do a great job we will continually raise your rate and will increase the volume of work we provide for you. We are extremely fair with payment. We reimburse any personal cost you have invested in the job, as well as mileage for anything out of your home town. We feel as if we aren’t doing the work, we don’t need a big cut. So, if you are a quality worker and we have a good bid on a job, we will pay more. Essentially, we reward good workers. We have guys that make well over 6 figures and only work 3-4 days a week. We also have guys that work a job part time and will take a 1-3hr job once a week for some extra cash. Depending on the payment form we get you paid same day, but no longer than two weeks.
We know this is completely untraditional, and may seem fake. It’s not. Shoot me a text @ 217-763-7100 to schedule a time to speak with the owner, or we can discuss via text. We will do a background check because it’s a requirement with our insurance. There are some deal breakers, but we know mistakes happen, and people can change.
