Description:
Do all repairs and required preventative maintenance of trailers, cranes, processors and trucks (these are leased so minimal repairs, only enough to keep them running)
will diagnose and troubleshoot their own repairs
Understanding of DOT info on trailers and AVI
Perform all safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by FMCSA, company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations.
Major and minor parts changing, suspension and wheel end maintenance
Welding and cutting operations
Identify equipment issues on trailers that could cause a safety issue or equipment failure
Perform routine inspection of work area to ensure proper housekeeping
Grapel repairs = strip down, new tips on claw, repack cylinders,
Use Volt Meter (not high voltage)
electric schematics
hydraulic schematics
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Looking for diesel mechanic
Mechanic experience
Diesel not required but auto mechanic at the very least
Must have own basic tools
1/4, 3/8, 1/2 Sockets
Wrenches up to 2" drive
