Cost Accountant

Description We are in search of a meticulous Cost Accountant to join our team in Decatur, Alabama. This role involves performing cost analyses and preparing budget reports for our manufacturing industry. You will analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.Responsibilities Conduct regular cost analyses on manufacturing processes, comparing actual costs to estimates and identifying reasons for variances. Assist in the development and implementation of cost-effective procedures and methods. Apply principles of cost accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems. Prepare and complete internal cost audits. Work closely with manufacturing department to understand and analyze the cost of our products. Use ERP solutions and Accounting Software Systems to conduct business operations. Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities. Use ADP - Financial Services for payroll management. Utilize SAP for better business process management. Implement cost standards for materials and labor. Prepare cost of goods sold and production reports for company leadership. Analyze production costs and recommend changes. Oversee annual physical inventory. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Knowledge of ERP Solutions Understanding of Accounting Functions Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) Familiarity with Budget Processes Proficiency in Cost Accounting Experience in Cost Analysis Knowledge of SAP Understanding of the Manufacturing industry Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
