Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. A successful candidate for this position will be ready to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. If you are a self-starter with high attention to detail, you will be a good fit for this Accounts Receivable Clerk position, which handles 200+ invoices a week. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Decatur, Alabama area.Key responsibilities

Corroborate documents and codes

Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

Represent and exude the values, culture, and mission of the organization

Sort out payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers

Execute a number of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks

Communicate information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans Requirements - Knowledgeable of ERP systems

Great attention to detail

Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills

Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

Microsoft Excel experience preferred

Deep understanding of Collections

Command of NetSuite

Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
