Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the industry of Accounting, located in Decatur, Georgia. You will be joining our on-site team where your key responsibilities will involve processing payments, communicating with the bank, and handling aspects of Accounts Payable (AP). Responsibilities: Processing Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and checks in a timely and accurate manner Maintaining constant communication with the bank regarding payment processing Handling various aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) including invoice matching Utilizing Oracle to manage accounts and process invoices Running reports related to payment and accounting processes Researching and analyzing reports to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies Understanding and managing the AP process efficiently Communicating effectively with team members and other departments as necessary Taking appropriate action on customer accounts based on monitoring results Ensuring customer records are accurately maintained and customer inquiries are resolved promptly. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and best practices Experience in payment processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments Knowledge of Oracle or similar financial software for managing invoices and payments A strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation Ability to process and manage large volumes of data accurately Strong numerical skills for accurate data compilation and analysis Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal departments Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data management Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred Prior experience in an accounts payable role is highly desirable.
