Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst I in Crystal Lake, Illinois. This position is within the telecom industry and will involve providing first-line support and administration of networks, as well as ensuring compliance with software licensing requirements. The successful candidate will be part of a small team and will be expected to handle 8-10 tickets per day, mostly through email and some by phone. Responsibilities: Provide support for microcomputer software and hardware questions and problems Collaborate with the Director of Information Technology and other contract staff to enlist outside support or services as needed Monitor and process requests for service from the Help Desk line and other sources, properly categorizing, prioritizing, tracking time, and communicating status with customers Maintain inventory of PC related equipment and software and ensure compliance with software licensing requirements Administer day-to-day operations of wide and local area networks, including maintaining security and monitoring system logs and automated processes such as scheduled backups Research, evaluate, purchase, and install new microcomputer hardware and software according to user requirements and in accordance with standards established by the Information Technology Department Handle 8-10 tickets per day, primarily through email and occasionally by phone Utilize various skills, including Citrix Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, Lotus Notes, Microsoft, Active Directory, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Deskside Support, Desktop Hardware, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS), and Microsoft Windows. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Help Desk Analyst role or similar IT support role Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and services Experience with Active Directory Knowledge of Computer Hardware and its configuration Experience in Configuration Management Deskside Support experience Familiarity with Desktop Hardware Experience with Azure Active Directory Knowledge of Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work well in a team environment Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously Proven track record of maintaining professionalism and patience in a high-pressure environment.Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
