Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in Collinsville, Illinois, United States. This role operates within the gaming industry, making its first venture into the Thoroughbred industry. The Controller will be primarily responsible for general accounting duties at this location, with support from two revenue accountants and a senior financial analyst.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all general accounting activities Collaborate with revenue accountants and a senior financial analyst on various tasks Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis Utilize accounting software systems effectively, mainly SAGE and Microsoft Excel Handle auditing and budget processes proficiently Ensure proper functioning of the financial close process Monitor and manage cash balance and cash activities Maintain up-to-date records and manage accounting functions effectively.
