The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. The majority of time spent will be dedicated to producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility during the monthly close. You'll also be reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, communicating with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and playing an active role in compliance.What you get to do every single day
Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed
Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner
Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Maintain monthly payment schedules
Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management Requirements - Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Experience with ERP systems
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Adeptness in Spreadsheets
Financial statement preparation experience desired
Proficiency in Reconcile Bank Statements
Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Microsoft Excel experience
Expertise in Analyze Financial Statements
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
