Qualifications
Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related industry
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS rules
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Effective communication and leadership abilities
Proficiency in computer applications, including transportation management software
Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
Commitment to safety and compliance
Experience as a safety manager or fleet manager is mandatory. CDL is not a mandatory but will be a plus
Responsibilities
As Safety and Fleet Manager you will play a pivotal role in the success of our operations
You will be responsible for overseeing a fleet of A semi-truck drivers who haul 53' dry van units
Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth and timely dispatch of drivers while maintaining the highest level of safety and compliance
Oversee Trucking Operations and ensure the profitability of the Trucking Division, routes, etc
Oversee & manage equipment maintenance and PM service
Have one on one conversations with drivers concerning positive and negative performance issues
Ensure all drivers comply with federal and state regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Driver onboarding
Monitor driver performance, including on-time deliveries and vehicle maintenance
Maintain accurate records of driver activities, including electronic logs and paperwork
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among the driver team
Provide reports and use company TMS
