Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mechanical Operations Coordinator to join our team. This office-based role bridges hands-on mechanical expertise with administrative and operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage records, coordinate schedules, and support our mechanical team from an office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update records of mechanical equipment, Prepare reports on equipment performance, downtime, and repair costs using data provided by the mechanical team.
Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for mechanical tasks, leveraging your technical knowledge.
Handle administrative tasks such as processing work orders, invoices, and warranty claims related to mechanical operations.
Provide technical input during project planning or equipment upgrades, drawing on your mechanic experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic (automotive, industrial, or heavy machinery).
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and troubleshooting processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new software systems.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical certification in mechanics or administration is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with inventory management or scheduling software.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
Prior office or administrative experience in a technical or mechanical environment.
