Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to provide updates on shipment status
- Utilize transportation management systems to track and monitor shipments
- Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize transportation planning
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and requirements
- Handle shipping and receiving documentation accurately and efficiently
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dispatching or transportation management preferred
- Knowledge of freight and shipping processes
- Familiarity with transportation management systems, such as Oracle Transportation Management
- Strong analytical skills to analyze transportation data and identify trends
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
