QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent.

One (1) year of general equipment delivery required, patient care experience in the home care industry preferred.

Valid license.

Possesses and maintains good physical stamina and mental health; complies with organization policies concerning health screening and health requirements.

Has satisfactory references from current employers and professional peers.

Has excellent observation and communication skills.

Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.

Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The service technician is responsible for pickup, loading, checking, delivery, and set-up of home medical equipment. Evaluates home environments for safe and effective use of equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Customer service:

Equipment delivery and set up in home

Patient caregiver instruction on safe use of equipment

Picks up soiled equipment from patient home

Records delivery and instruction activities

Updates plan of service of HME patients

Turns in all delivery activity records daily, at the end of the day

Quality improvement activities:

Logs returned equipment for maintenance

Assists in regulatory compliance efforts:

Follows OSHA safety standards

Passes applicable DOT driver tests

Obeys local fire code provisions
