Experienced Hazmat OTR Dispatcher Needed
Small trucking company needing a transportation and logistics dispatcher with great negotiating, sales and multi-tasking skills. This is a position which requires experience in booking loads, dispatching for a multiple vehicle fleet and you must have outstanding negotiating skills. You must be be knowledgeable with load boards such as DAT and have an understanding of all rules and regulations.
Requirements:
2-4 years of dispatching experience
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Multi tasking, time management and strong organization skills
Bringing new accounts and existing accounts is a plus
Attention to detail
Self motivated
Familiar with roads/routes
Stay up to date with market rates
Knowledge of ELD and HOS
Cover 5-10 Trucks
Knowledge of Motive and ProTransport a plus
Dry van & Hazmat/Tanker experience a plus
Responsibilities:
Communicate with truck drivers and customers via phone, chat and email for dispatching, updates, status and everything in between.
Relaying work orders, route scheduling and assisting drivers with any inquiries
Keeping track of driver’s locations and hours driven to maximize scheduling and uptime
Minimize empty miles and maximize revenue generating miles
Updating software and board regularly with driver, location, truck number, status, etc.
Maintain professional relationships with customers and drivers
Report detention, OOS and violations immediately
Soliciting new shippers for business
Set up carrier packets
Work Environment:
1099 or W2 Employee (Flexible on this)
Hours 7am-5pm
