Trucking company is currently hiring experienced dispatchers for over the road. We specialize in hauling dry van and flatbed freight. We consolidate freight and have warehouses in IL and TX.
We offer a competitive weekly salary or hourly rate plus a commission depending on experience.
This position is not remote, we work from the office located in Addison, Illinois from 7am-5pm
Responsibilities:
♦ Manage an average of 8-10 trucks
♦ Negotiate rates and calculate miles efficiently
♦ Regularly update customers
♦ Double-check and review rate confirmations for accuracy
♦ Conduct daily checks on market conditions and weather forecasts
♦ Work well in a team environment
Requirements:
♦Minimum of 2 years of OTR dispatching experience
♦Ability to handle dispatch for an average of 8-10 trucks
♦Up to date with current market conditions
♦Multi tasking
♦Strong negotiation skills
♦Computer literate
♦Work under pressure in a fast paced environment
♦Experience is a must
