About the Role:
World Way is seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Wood Dale, IL. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on maintaining and servicing our fleet of Class 8 vehicles. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our trucks operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all DOT and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on Class 8 diesel vehicles
Conduct full functionality inspections to identify potential issues
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems
Collaborate with other team members to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with Class 8 vehicles
Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and diagnostic tools
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Must have your own tools
