Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Residential Electrician with 2-5 years of experience in new construction to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in new homes and residential buildings. You will work with a team of professionals to ensure that all electrical work complies with local codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in new residential homes, including wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and panel installations.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Perform testing and inspections of electrical systems to identify issues or needed improvements.
- Work collaboratively with other trades and project teams to meet deadlines and deliver quality workmanship.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on-site in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper installation of lighting, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and any other electrical components specific to the job.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience as a residential electrician, particularly in new construction.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, residential wiring, circuit design, and electrical codes (NEC).
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Experience working with both high and low voltage electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with clients, contractors, and other trades on-site.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including outdoors and at heights.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in all weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time.
