Summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time candidate to grow our mitigation services team. Experience with radon installation is preferred but not required. Partner will provide training and resources for national certification. We are seeking candidates who are looking for professional development and the challenge of learning something new. The required locations are Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Illinois. Travel to other states will be common and expected.

Responsibilities

Typical projects for installing radon mitigation systems include:

- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines to ensure project progress status is on schedule

- Perform Diagnostic Testing prior to installation

- Collecting Building Information for system design

- Drilling through sub-slabs

- Soil excavation

- Ability to follow design plan to install onsite

- Assembling of the system through connecting PVC pipes and Fans

- Installing Electrical outlets for connection and/or working alongside an electrician

- Environmental clearance sampling

- Effectively communicate project progress and issues with the Project Manager

- Technical report authoring and preparation of quality supporting documents

Requirements

- Candidates must have a clean valid driver's license

- Capable of acquiring and maintaining the required certifications for testing and mitigation

- Comfortable being on roofs and in tight crawlspaces

- The ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. ladders and work at heights up to 40ft

- The ability to use power tools safely and effectively

- Hours will vary depending on the needs at the job site (average 40-50 hour work weeks)

- Comfortable working outdoors year-round

- Available for travel out of state for up to 70% of the time

- A clean, friendly, customer service-oriented appearance and disposition.

Relevant Experience

- Experience with the installation of radon mitigation systems

- Subsurface investigations

- Geotechnical Sampling

- Vapor Intrusion Sampling

- Environmental Sampling

- Construction

- Maintenance Technician

- Plumbing

- HVAC Technician

- Electrician

Qualifications

- Experience with the installation of radon mitigation systems preferred

- The candidate must be detail-oriented and able to effectively communicate with project managers and colleagues

- Ability to learn the trade and become proficient.

- Proficient with reading blueprints and/or architectural drawings preferred

- OSHA and/or HAZWAPOR certification preferred

- Radon sampling and mitigation certifications. We will help obtain those if needed.

Education

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Geology/Earth Science/Environmental Degree and/or equivalent preferred
