Metal Welder / Fabricator

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Metal Welder/Fabricator to join the Flyhouse team. This hands-on role involves welding, cutting, and assembling custom metal components from draftings and technical drawings. The ideal candidate has strong fabrication skills, a solid understanding of MIG and TIG welding, and the ability to work independently on complex builds.

Compensation

Full-time salaried / Part-time hourly options available

Eligible for overtime (full-time or part-time)

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals (primarily steel)

Cut, drill, and punch metal components to spec

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and draftings

Set up and build welding jigs and fixtures for repeatable fabrication

Operate basic machining tools (saws, drill press, grinders, etc.)

Ensure all welds meet strength and quality standards

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Work closely with the design and production team to meet project deadlines

Qualifications:

3+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred

Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques

Skilled in steel cutting, drilling, and metal finishing

Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical draftings

Experience with machining and lathe operations is a strong plus

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented

Additional Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods

Punctual and dependable work ethic
