Fountain Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented fountain maintenance technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, chemical balancing, and repair of decorative water features, and related equipment. This position requires mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of water displays.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and cleanings on water fountains and other water features to ensure optimal operation.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues related to fountain systems.

Clean and treat water to maintain cleanliness and prevent algae buildup, scaling, and other water quality issues.

Monitor water levels, pump pressure, and chemical balances to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Identify and replace worn or defective parts, including pipes, nozzles, pumps, filters, and electrical components.

Keep accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections.

Respond promptly to service calls and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Follow all safety procedures and regulations while working on-site.

Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school certification preferred).

Proven experience in fountain maintenance, plumbing, or a related mechanical field.

Knowledge of electrical systems, water treatment, and pump mechanics.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work outdoors, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Valid work authorization.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in pool and spa operation (CPO) or equivalent.

Basic understanding of water chemistry and treatment processes.

Customer service experience and ability to interact with clients professionally.

Work Environment:

Work is performed at various indoor and outdoor locations.

Requires lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
