OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY This occupation requires the performance of a variety of assembly operations relative to fabrication and assembly of firearms and accessories.
WORK PERFORMED Perform assembly operations such as attaching barrels to receivers, using specialized tooling when required; Use of standard hand tools, such as special wrenches, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, tweezers, arbor presses, mallets, simple measuring devices, dial caliper, micrometer, hard gauges. Etc. possible set-up and operate a variety of Semiautomatic machines such as presses, crimpers, drills, stampers, cutters, sanders, laser engravers, manual knee mill, lathe, surface grinder. All materials and equipment necessary to complete the job are provided.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to read and understand work authorization and instruction documents.
Knowledge of assembly general shop practice and proper use of hand tools.
Observation and compliance of all OSHA safety measures.
Ability to communicate effectively
Knowledge of basic math
Desired skills
Gunsmith degree, or mechanical experience and firearms knowledge
Manual or CNC machining skills
Operate a knee mill, lathe, grinders, sanders, drill press
Ability to read basic blueprints
Leadership managerial qualities
Hours 7am-3:30pm M-F Hours are flexible
Salary rate will be commensurate with experience, abilities and skill level. Starting pay $18.00 per hour. Paid holidays, sick and vacation time, insurance offered. Some overtime may be available.
