The Company:
Feldco, the Midwest's leading home renewal company, and repeated Top Workplace honoree in Chicago, is looking for a qualified individual to lead in this newly developed role as Field Installation Lead.
Job Summary:
This position will assist with the day-to-day in the field, as well as the continued development of our Construction Apprentices to become full-fledge window & entry door installers. As the Field Installation Lead, you will delight our customers by completing various installs tailored to your capabilities with a team of apprentices for assistance.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform all aspects of the installation process necessary to complete window and/or entry door projects including but not limited to:
- Remove existing product prior to installing the new product.
- Be able to bend aluminum coil to cap window & entry door openings.
- Familiar with using OSI Quad caulk and foam.
- Complete EPA specified lead-safety procedures during installation when needed.
- Complete job close-out with the customer when install is finished.
- Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Resolve customer issues and provide the customer with a sense of delight.
- Perform installation inspections and report on quality of work.
- Train and engage assigned apprentices while in the field for future success.
Person Wanted:
Candidate will have prior experience installing replacement windows and entry doors. This individual will be familiar with all the tools and procedures necessary to complete the full installation. Communication and quality are of the utmost importance, as the individual will be representing the company’s best efforts to delight our customers. Additionally, this individual will be comfortable teaching apprentices in the field to meet or exceed our level of quality craftsmanship.
The hours:
- 7a – 4p or 5p, 5 days a week.
- Some Saturdays and Overtime as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Skillful in the installation of all types of replacement windows and entry doors including all types of finish carpentry necessary to complete a quality Feldco installation resulting in total customer delight.
Problem solving skills necessary to diagnose, implement, and complete installations and customer service calls.
Technical mastery in the field measurement process for windows & entry doors.
Outstanding Customer Service Skills.
Proven track record of accuracy & accountability.
Must work well in dynamic team environment with aggressive goals.
Detail oriented, organized and efficient. No tolerance for errors or oversights.
Able to lift 100 lbs.
Able to climb a ladder.
Ability to use a brake to bend aluminum coil to cap window & entry door openings.
Familiar with using OSI products including Quad caulk and foam.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
