A real estate development company needs a person skilled in electrical wiring and conduit pipe bending to assist the licensed electricians in bending and installing conduit and running electrical and low voltage wiring. The project is a large, long-term commercial buildout in downtown Chicago that consists of many apartment units. Most of the conduit will be run exposed, so a person who is very experienced and good at pipe bending is needed.
Companies will be considered only if they are very small and perform the work themselves, rather than subcontracting it out. Handyman service companies that serve multiple customers will not be considered.
To apply, please send a resume or list that includes the following:
(1) The number of years of experience you have in running conduit and electrical wire and the types of electrical projects you have done in the past.
(2) The skills you have, if any, in installing fire alarm systems, access control systems, security systems, electrified door hardware, and low voltage wiring for electronic equipment. The number of years of experience you have in each of these systems.
(3) Whether you work alone or you work together with other electricians and/or assistants who you would want to work on the build-out with you.
(4) The city or Chicago neighborhood that you live in and how long your commute would be to downtown Chicago.
(5) The hourly rate that you are typically paid for big, long-term projects.
(6) Your phone number and e-mail address.
