Technical Support Engineer

Compensation: $40-65k. Based upon experience and skill

Legend Technology Services is looking for a Technical Support Engineer who understands how to install, support and maintain customer technology. Legend is an IT Services company who handles all of a customer's technology needs.

The position is in person at our office located in Bolingbrook, IL. We are looking for a professional that has a minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Windows Servers, networks, firewalls and end users.

Daily Tasks Include (but are not limited to):

Microsoft 365 Administration and Setup

Windows Server Administration

Vendor Coordination and Support

PC/Mac troubleshooting

Network Support (Routers/switches/DNS/VLAN's, Wireless, etc.)

Security (Firewall rules/SPAM filtering, routing, etc.)

Smartphone Support

Application Support

Upgrade and installation projects are very common. The Technical Support Engineer will be required to take complex IT projects from start to finish and complete any technical task required.

The Technical Support Engineer position will be responsible for many customer environments and provide services onsite or remotely. The right Technical Support Engineer is tenacious, customer focused and has a can-do attitude. Most of the travel will be local to Chicago and Chicago suburbs with the potential for occasional travel to other US destinations. We are looking for a team member to help us continue building a great organization with a very broad market of potential customers.

Technical Support Engineer Responsibilities & Duties:

Provide technical assistance to customers

Troubleshooting and problem-solving

Manage customer technology infrastructure

Tune and maintain internal monitoring and other systems

Work as a team or independently to complete IT projects

Provide onsite IT services to customers

Additional duties as needed

Technical Support Engineer Qualifications & Skills:

Although a degree is nice, we recognize there are tenacious support personnel without them, so it is not required

Minimum 3 years' experience installing, supporting and maintaining Windows Servers, Microsoft 365 and Networking technologies.

Ability to manage complex technical projects

Strong troubleshooting skills

Personable attitude with the ability to listen to the customer and ask the right questions to uncover the needs they have in order to design a custom solution
