We are seeking reliable and responsible individuals to join our team as Security Officers for Nationwide Truck Escorts. In this role, you will ensure the safe transportation of goods, assets, and valuable materials by escorting security trucks to their destinations. Your duties will include maintaining a high level of alertness, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and providing proactive protection against potential threats during transport.
Compensation: The pay for truck escorting is $18 per hour, while the pay during sleeping, flying, or rest periods is $15 per hour; this position is 1099.
Key Responsibilities:
Escort security trucks transporting valuables or high-priority goods to designated locations.
Monitor and assess security risks during transportation to ensure safety at all times.
Maintain communication with dispatch and other team members to report incidents or irregularities.
Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is operational.
Follow company policies and procedures for risk management and emergency response.
Maintain professionalism and discretion in all interactions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Active PERC license
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MUST provide MVR).
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a similar field is a plus.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Excellent communication skills.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, sit, drive and remain alert for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform other physical tasks as needed.
Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
Run as needed
Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, notepad, writing reports, and other administrative tasks
Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination
Read, understand and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with public/co-workers, giving and receiving instructions, using phones
Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat; Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments
Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting; may require computer skills
Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
Must be able to handle pressure of working with high volume general public (constantly to occasionally depending on assignment).
