Advanced Security Solutions is currently looking for crossing guards for the Glenview School District. Shifts are between 1hr-1.5hr long (2 shifts: AM and PM-MUST WORK BOTH), we will pay a minimum of 3hrs per day.
Duties:
- Observe, Report, Deter.
- Safely guide pedestrians, especially children, across designated crosswalks
- Ensure the safety of pedestrians by monitoring traffic flow and controlling the movement of pedestrians
- Communicate with drivers to ensure they are aware of pedestrians and adhere to traffic laws
- Provide assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs in crossing the street
- Maintain a visible presence and act as a deterrent to potential traffic violations near the crosswalk
- Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines related to crossing guard duties
- Report any incidents or concerns to appropriate authorities

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of EPA, HIPAA, and OSHA compliance management is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds and age groups
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain alert and focused during shifts
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and withstand various weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Note: Prior experience as a crossing guard is not required, but preferred (training will be provided).
