VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Northwestern’s ADAPT Lab is looking for individuals to participate in a paid research
study on information processing.
You may be eligible if you are ages 15-34, located in the U.S., and are:
- Feeling confused about what is real or imaginary
- Feeling like you are not in control of your own thoughts
- Feeling suspicious or paranoid
- Hearing or seeing things that may not be there
- Having trouble communicating clearly
An initial screening will be done. Then, if the study is found a good fit, you will be invited to
participate in the main study. The study consists of 1-2 visits, the first of which will take 3-4
hours and the second will take 1-2 hours each. You will be paid $25 per hour up to $187 for
your time and participation.
At the visit we will ask several questions about you and your experiences, and we will ask you to
complete simple paper and pencil questionnaires as well as computerized tasks that are
designed to measure how you think about social information (for example, answering questions
about pictures you are shown). There are no risks associated with participating in this study
besides getting bored or anxious.
If you interested please email [email protected] or click on the link below to provide us with general contact information. We can also be reached at (847) 467-5907. If you are younger than 18, please have your parent/guardian reach out.
