Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly specialized Senior Network/Server Engineer to serve as a pivotal resource in the planning, design, and implementation of sophisticated network infrastructure and server systems for our diverse client base. This senior role is inherently influential in advancing our network architecture, both wired and wireless, as well as optimizing Windows server installations to meet and exceed client requirements.

Responsibilities:

Lead comprehensive network projects encompassing brand-new developments and the transformation of existing setups, ensuring technical best-practice adherence, and alignment with client objectives

Undertake intricate network and server design tasks, exemplifying innovation and foresight, while providing hands-on assistance in the realization of more straightforward configurations

Develop and codify maintenance strategies, coordinating with technical staff to guarantee sustained operations in accordance with established standards and best practices

Elevate and refine network/server maintenance protocols, introducing robust policies and ensuring their seamless adoption by technical teams

Act as the pinnacle of escalation for complex network and server issues, leveraging deep expertise to resolve high-level technical challenges

Qualifications:

5+ years of Wired and Wireless Networking support experience, consulting experience a plus(College Degree NOT required)

Expert Level knowledge of networking hardware protocols and standards such as Spanning Tree, OSPF, EIGRP, and VLANs

Solid understanding of network concepts and troubleshooting related to switching, routing, firewalls, and wireless

Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Unifi experience is a plus

Previous experience with a Managed Service Provider is a plus

Understanding of current security and threat-management solutions

Good documentation skills

Previous experience with network automation, monitoring and configuration management tools a plus

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently

Ability to work within a fast-paced environment

Ability to have some flexibility with work schedule, as required

Excellent technical and analytical skills

Excellent spoken and verbal communicative skills
