Job Title: Mindful Market Partner to help us end the Farmers Market Season.
Job Type: Gig/Part-time, Hourly (approximately 15 hrs/week) - WE MUST NOTE THIS TWICE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN CAR. Big Enough to fit a tent, table and coolers.
Job Location: Local farmers markets and pop-up market events, Chicago and surrounding suburbs, including Evanston and Skokie.
Job Description:
Mindful Baking is seeking a dependable and organized individual to join our team as a Mindful Market Partner. In this role, you will be responsible for picking up baked goods from a commissary kitchen and setting up a farmers market stand to sell the goods and provided great customer service to our guest.
The ideal candidate should be available to work weekends and have access to their own vehicle is a must. (You will be reimbursed with gas money based on mileage used for your time to and from the market, only.) - Also, if your open to it can also include delivery jobs for extra money let us know if your interested in that too.
Responsibilities:
Pick up baked goods from the commissary kitchen and transport them to the farmers market stand or pop-up market event.
Set up and take down the market stand, including arranging products and ensuring that the stand is clean and presentable.
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answer questions, and provide information about the products.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
Maintain inventory records and manage stock levels to ensure that the stand is fully stocked at all times.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must have access to a reliable vehicle for transportation, with adequate space for transporting market goods (eg large Igloo coolers).
Must be available to work weekends morning and earlier evening shifts. Wednesday afternoon availability is a plus for the evening shift.
Must have excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be customer-service oriented.
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
A basic understanding of food allergies and an interest in vegan/gluten-free products is a plus.
Salary:
The salary for this position is $16 per hour with gas money for mileage also employee meals at our cafe after your shifts or at the market.
