Coworking Space Manager at Art/Work!

Art/Work is looking for a Space Manager with great communication skills and a highly detail-oriented working style with the self-motivated ability to follow through on tasks, correspondence, and projects. This part-time position means you’ll be in charge of managing the everyday operations of the Coworking space as well as planning and hosting events, and managing social media to help grow our space.

We are located in the 1821 Hubbard building which is home to many unique, creative businesses. This candidate should be comfortable with communication both with space owners and potential members, meeting short deadlines, problem solving, and working in a fast-paced environment. This is both an hourly and trade position with access to your own desk to do any other work you may have.

The position is approximately 20 hours per week. The Space Manager is expected to be on-site from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Thursday, with additional hours for hosting events, setting up for rentals, etc. Compensation is hourly based on experience, to be paid via invoice on a bi-weekly basis.

Responsibilities:

- Open the space daily at 9:00 AM (tidy up, retrieve mail, restock snacks and supplies, etc.)

- File mail for space members; and upload mail to Virtual Office platform for 50+ virtual mailbox renters

- Manage all Art/Work communications, providing prompt responses to emails and inquiries across several bookings platforms

- Coordinate bookings of Hot Desks, Conference Room, Phone Booth, Event Space, and any other space reservations

- Lead marketing and sales efforts for Coworking Memberships, Artists Studio Memberships, and Private Office rentals

- Quickly and proactively handle all space maintenance and repairs, including requests from members and renters

- Manage the social media and web presence for Art/Work, creating original content and maintaining a regular posting schedule

- Plan and host occasional community events such as workshops, happy hours, craft nights, etc

- Participate in Fall and Spring Hubbard Street Lofts Open House

- Manage “Optix” booking and payment platform, updating schedule and invoicing renters

- Light bookkeeping duties such as tracking income and expenses, managing Quickbooks, and liaising with tax professionals

- Other duties as assigned
