Art Research Professional Seeks Part-Time Sales & Office Assistant
Contract | $18–$22/hour DOE
An established art appraisal professional seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Sales and Office Assistant to support cataloging, research, and sales efforts. This is a part-time, contract position with the potential to become more. The position is semi-remote, primarily based in Chicago’s South Loop, with possible travel to various locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Photograph objects for auction listings
- Research and document item characteristics
- Write clear, compelling descriptions
- Assist with cataloging inventory and organizing project data
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency with basic photography and data entry
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background or strong interest in art history, antiques, or collectibles
