A Specialized Manufacturing Company providing a range of products including janitorial supplies and cleaning solutions seeking two (2) qualified Material Handlers - Forklift Drivers to coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments in the plant and the warehouse, truck loading and unloading in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

Reviews dock schedule and related information with the manager to determine material / shipment requirements.

Load and unload trucks with material / product.

Receipts of Purchase Orders, verifying counts and correct product against packing slips and bill of ladings.

Shipments of orders, verifying correct counts and products against pick tickets and bills of lading.

Process all necessary paperwork for shipments and receipts.

Stage materials based on pull tickets from shop orders.

Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory move tags, cycle counts, and shuttle logs.

Keep all warehouse material in a safe, organized and well identified manner.

Moves or transports materials between departments.

Proper daily maintenance of all material handling equipment.

General housekeeping duties related to the warehouse and surrounding areas.

Other duties as assigned.

Shall wear all necessary PPE while on the Production Floor.

Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

Forklift Operator Certificate or the ability to complete forklift training successfully and understand company safety courses.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Person must be able to read and understand English, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Person must be able to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATH ABILITY:

Person must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is expose regularly to work near moving mechanical parts; outdoor weather conditions; risk of vibration. The employee is expose frequently to wet or humid conditions (weather/non-weather); cold (weather) and heat (weather/non-weather). The employee is expose occasionally to non-hazardous, hazardous and caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
