A Wire and Cable Manufacturing Co. Specializing in Custom Made Wire Products Seeking Reliable Machine Operators all shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift) with (1)+ years of experience working in a Manufacturing environment.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The machine operator sets up, and monitors equipment used in the manufacturing wire and cable products.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee operates within a plant environment and routinely uses various tools and operates various machine.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Review and follow daily priority schedule and interpret router and/drawings of the product to be run
Set up the machine and locate the product to be run, load the product to be run (Pay Out) and take up (empty spool on which the product will be placed)
Start the machine and take s sample to ensure that product is within specification, restart the machine and monitor the line to ensure that specifications are maintained
Complete finished tags and the labels for the completed product
Complete other information, as required, and daily log sheets
Perform work on safe and timely matter
Clean and maintain good housekeeping habits and follow prescribed safety regulations throughout the shift
Report any unsafe conditions, maintenance problems or any issues that occurred on the shift to the supervisor
Available to work on the weekend as necessary
KNOWLEDGE:
Basic knowledge of tooling for manufacture wire and cable
Read standard measuring tools, rulers, tape, caliper, micrometer, as well as automated equipment used to verify conformance to product specifications
Ability to identify information listed on the work order to determine inspection criteria, as well as to verify identification numbers and product types
Basic troubleshooting skills
SKILLS/ABILITITES:
Work independently and in a team environment
Detailed Oriented, close attention to detail and ability to make a decision to continue running the product
Perform activities requiring physical exertion and dexterity in the handling of materials, and physically fit, stand all day, twist, turn, scoop or squat and lift up to 50 pounds
Good communication skills in English and read documentations related to production can be completed
WORK SCHEDULE:
PERSON MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR OT AND WEEKEND PENDING ON WORKLOAD.
1ST SHIFT: Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. PAY RATE: 17.50
2ND SHIFT: Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. PAY RATE: 18.38
3RD SHIFT: Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. PAY RATE: 19.25
