Zap Props is the Midwest’s largest prop house. Specializing in vintage and one-of-a-kind items, we rent our

merchandise to professional & amateur film and stage productions, photographers, party planners, and anyone looking

for that special piece to make their event memorable. We also provide fabrication services and sell decor to

restaurants, bars, and other businesses.

Job Title: Warehouse Worker/Installer

Position Summary: As a Warehouse Worker, your primary responsibilities are moving, cleaning, and organizing items

around the warehouse. As an Installer, you will work off site on commercial job sites and assist with the installation

of decor.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● Moving and organizing items in the warehouse

● Heavy lifting at least once a day

● Cleaning and safely packing antiques and collectibles

● Loading and unloading items into/from vehicles

● Accurately pulling orders from the warehouse and safely transporting items to the loading docks

● Keeping a mental inventory of where items are stored in the warehouse

● Identifying any missing, lost, or damaged items and immediately notifying management

● Handling all items with appropriate care

● Regularly drive transit vans and 16’ trucks

● As needed, perform delivery or pick up of items purchased or sold

● As needed, assist on installs. This will require travel to job site destinations which are often out of state.

● Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

● Ability to work unsupervised, take initiative, and prioritize responsibilities

● Ability to use software/printed lists to pick, load, and check-in orders

● Familiarity with hand and power tools

● High school diploma or GED

● Ability to work on feet for at least 8 hours a day and regularly lift, push, and move more than 50 pounds

● Valid driver's license and good driving record

Pay & Benefits

● Full-time (35-40 hours per week); overtime as required.

● Regular work hours are 9:30am-6pm Monday to Friday; hours vary when on installs.

● Starting pay $16-18 per hour, based on experience; an additional $2 per hour is paid when performing install

work.

● All lodging, transportation, and meal expenses are paid when traveling for installs

● Paid weekly on Wednesdays via physical check

● Paid time off and sick time

○ Sick time accrual begins day one of employment

■ Available to use after 30 days

○ PTO accrual begins day one of employment

■ Available to use after 90 days

● Paid Holidays (when holiday falls Monday-Friday; if holiday is on a weekend, an alternate day off might be

scheduled by Zap on a holiday-by-holiday basis)

● Group Health Insurance and Dental Plans

○ Able to join after 60 days of employment

■ Coverage effective first day of the month after 60 days

○ 50% employer coverage for medical
