Description
The Team Lead is the backup leader of the warehouse team in the absence of the manager or supervisor. This role will provide direction in the absence of the manager/supervisor, and is accountable for the performance of the team during these periods. During regular operations the team lead will operate as required for the daily workload and stand in during shift staggers. This individual must be able to provide training and understand/execute Jon-Don’s standard operation procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs daily responsibilities and priorities in a safe and organized manner.
Receives and executes priorities from the warehouse supervisor or manager
Interacts with the Branch Manager or other members of the branch.
Coordinates the warehouse team to maximize their efficiency and daily output.
Enforces Jon-Don SOP’s, warehouse rules and regulations, and safe work procedures and practices.
Follows proper Hazardous Material Handling and DOT compliance requirements
Performs Warehouse Clerk I and II functions when necessary.
Performs Forklift Operators functions regularly.
Maintains a clean and organized warehouse and work space at all times by “cleaning as they go” and putting equipment and tools back where they belong at the end of each use.
Sweeps and scrubs floors.
Assist other functions within the warehouse as necessary.
Other tasks as required.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma
2 year of Warehousing
REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTITUDES:

Show leadership potential and a wiliness to take a leadership role
Able to work as a team.
Able to communicate with peers and leadership
Problem-solving/troubleshooting ability
Ability to perform multiple task and switch between priorities.
Willing and able to be certified to drive powered equipment in a retail environment.
Dependable, responsible and willing to accept accountability
Comfortable working with tables and PC’s
Able to be certified on a forklift or other powered equipment.
Able to complete and be certified in DOT and IATA Dangerous Goods and Haz Mat regulations for packaging and shipping.
