IMPORTANT NOTE: Looking for someone that is comfortable cover the central and near north, west, and south sides of Chicago, from Edgewater and Rogers Park in the north, through downtown and the West Loop, down to Hyde Park, Bronzeville, and Roseland in the south, and out to the near west suburbs including Oak Park, Cicero, Berwyn, and Melrose Park.

Property management company looking for multiple maintenance technicians. Looking for those that are versed in all aspects of maintenance, including plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical, HVAC. Must have your own vehicle and tools, also a valid drivers license. Must be able to pass a background check. This is a fast paced company dealing with a lot of properties over a large area. An excellent technician must be customer service-focused and both knowledgeable and skilled. They should be experienced in many areas of handyman repair and they know the value of respecting and taking care of our tenants. As maintenance tech, you are a key member of our team responsible for quality repairs, home improvement projects, and possible light rehab projects. You will build customer relationships and uphold our standard for excellent customer service. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain, repair, and install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment

Diagnose and correct maintenance issues including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting

Replace broken tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, blinds, locks, and other common building materials/systems

Properly assess & complete necessary make-ready repairs and improvements

Multi-task with little supervision

Take emergency calls according to the emergency call schedule

Ability to discern between “essential and non-essential repairs”

Cleaning up and replacing fixtures after each project

Communicating effectively and efficiently with team and management (Communication and customer service skills are essential! We love “people-people”!)

Contributing to the teamwork mentality and practices of the organization
