We are seeking a dedicated individual to oversee our receiving department and ensure efficient operations in receiving and storing food products.
Title: Dry Receiving Supervisor
Reports to: Dry Manager
Salary: $47, 500k - $50k
Job Purpose: To provide supervisory support to the Dry Department and assist in other departments as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises the associates in the Dry Department, Receiving and office clerks of the warehouse.
Assigns duties to employees and schedules break periods, work hours, and vacations. Schedules and performs periodic evaluations of employees as dictated by the appropriate HR policies.
Assist other warehouse floor supervisors and associates in warehouse policies, departmental procedures, and job duties.
Follow up on customer concerns/complaints, examines discrepancy reports, and resolutions to restore and promote good public relations with the client.
Overall responsibility for the supervision of good sanitation practices throughout the warehouse/offices.
Promotes a positive work environment while also being a team builder. Work closely with staff to ensure that quality and productivity requirements are maintained and communicated to each associate.
Must be flexible and able to work any shift in support of business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a self-initiator who can implement and supervise all warehouse data entry programs as directed by the Office Manager.
High level of computer and WMS system literacy.
Some college level training is preferred but not necessary so long as there is experience in warehouse supervision and some experience in the wholesale industry preferred.
Computer Skills:
Strong computer skills required; with knowledge in MS Office, Excel and WMS system literacy
Additional Information
Must be able to work weekends, holidays (24 hour type of distribution center)
Must have at least 3 years + Experience
Days company closed: Christmas and New Years, Thanksgiving they work or work 1/2 day
Company has blackout dates where no one can take vacation October-February
Temp to higher after 90 days
During their go live period (projects) employees can work 12 hours a day
Overtime is a must
Company has cooler environment and normal temp some have freezer
