Summary:

We are currently offering an exceptional opportunity for a Registered Nurse with experience in ophthalmology and gastroenterology primary surgeries. The Clinical Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the pre-op, OR, and PACU, with a focus on these specialties. All potential candidates must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Operating Room Care in ophthalmology and gastroenterology, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive, high-quality, individualized nursing care. This includes expertise in pre-operative assessment, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative care tailored to these specialties.

Qualifications:

Experience as a clinical director in an ambulatory surgery center, with a strong background in ophthalmology and gastroenterology primary surgeries.

Understanding of budgeting, resourcing, and performance evaluation specific to these specialties.

In-depth knowledge of standards and best practices related to ophthalmology and gastroenterology surgeries.

Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons and other healthcare professionals in these fields.

Organizational and leadership skills necessary to oversee clinical operations in a fast-paced environment.

Education and/or Experience:

· Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

· 2-3 years’ experience preferred.

Computer Skills:

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, MS Outlook, and EMR applications

· Must have a current Illinois RN licensure. (CNOR preferred)

· ACLS/PALS/BLS Certifications
